For Employers

How can Talentbank help us hire?

We help employers hire interns, fresh graduates and experienced professionals through career fairs, Recruitment Drives, LinkedIn Talent Campaigns, Recruitment and Executive Search. Posting a job on Talentbank Career Passport is free. Read more →

Which service suits our hiring need?

As a guide: for a few hires or more visibility, a free Career Passport listing or a career fair booth. For a set number of graduates in a set window, a Recruitment Drive. For ongoing hiring of five or more roles, or to reach people not actively looking, LinkedIn Talent Campaigns. For one experienced role, Recruitment. For a senior or leadership role, Executive Search. For high-stakes hiring at scale, Bespoke Engagements. This is early guidance; the final scope and terms are agreed with our team. Read more →

Which career fair should we join?

Hiring interns: our Campus Series fairs at universities. Hiring fresh graduates and professionals with two to 10 or more years' experience: the Flagship Series: the Talentbank Career Fair and the National Career Fair. Venues are on each fair's listing. Hiring for specific skills such as technology, engineering, semiconductor or finance: our Industry Series fairs. Read more →

How do we book a booth?

Choose a fair on the events calendar and speak to our team. We confirm every booking by email, and the exhibitor terms, covering payment, changes and cancellation, come with your booking. Read more →

What comes with a standard booth?

Every standard booth, whatever its size (3x3m, 3x2m or 2x2m), comes with one table, two chairs, one power socket, one light, partition walls and a company-name fascia sticker of up to 32 characters, including spaces.

Can we choose where our booth is?

Yes, subject to availability. Premium positions, such as those near the entrance or with a corner or double frontage, are priced higher. You can also ask to be placed near or away from a particular company, subject to availability.

What should we bring to our booth?

Business cards, banners and buntings, a sign-up form, a laptop for on-the-spot interviews, and giveaways. Games, sampling or giveaway activities need our approval first. Food and drink stalls also need the venue's approval, which we help you arrange.

Do you screen candidates at career fairs?

No. Career fairs are walk-in and open to all, so you meet candidates and shortlist on the day. Screening is available with a Recruitment Drive, and as an add-on to LinkedIn Talent Campaigns.

Can you guarantee a number of candidates?

Not for a fair booth. Turnout depends on many things, including the season, the mix of employers and the roles on offer. With a Recruitment Drive, you see registration numbers before the day, so you know where you stand in advance.

Do you charge commission on hires from a fair?

No. A booth is a flat fee, with no commission on hires and no cap on the number of roles you promote.

Can a company without a Malaysian entity exhibit?

Yes. You can pay through a Malaysian entity or from overseas. Someone from your company must be at the booth in person; a video presentation alone is not possible.

Can recruitment agencies book a booth?

Yes, for their own hiring. If you are hiring on behalf of a client, the client company must be disclosed.

Are any industries not accepted?

We do not accept gambling companies. Alcohol and tobacco companies are not accepted at campus fairs, though they may take part in our Flagship and Industry Series fairs. Direct sales companies may recruit for head-office roles only, never for sales agents.

What language should our booth staff speak?

Booth staff should be comfortable speaking English, the common language at our fairs.

Will other companies from our industry be there?

Usually, and that is normal: two to five companies per industry is typical, and we balance the mix. The candidate pool is large enough for everyone.

What happens if it rains, or there is an emergency?

Fairs go ahead in rain or storms. In a serious emergency, the fair is called off and we notify everyone through our official channels. If we postpone or cancel a fair, the exhibitor terms set out your options; we encourage carrying your booking forward to the next fair.

What do we receive after a fair?

A written after-show report by email, and a short survey on how it went. Candidate data held in Talentbank Career Passport stays there; we do not export it to your own systems.

Can we pay by purchase order, or in another currency?

Yes. We work with many companies' procurement and purchase-order processes, and we can discuss paying in currencies other than ringgit. Our vendor registration documents are ready if your company needs them.

Do you brief first-time exhibitors?

Yes, we offer a short one-to-one briefing call. We also recommend listing your roles on Talentbank Career Passport before the fair.

Why do some booths attract fewer candidates?

The two most common reasons are a booth that does not stand out and recruiters who stay behind the table. An open layout, a clear visual hook and staff who step forward to welcome people make the biggest difference.

Do you run virtual career fairs?

Our fairs are held in person. Recruitment Drives can run online as well as in person.

What is a Recruitment Drive?

Your own hiring day, built around your roles, for your company alone or shared with up to three others, held at your office or a venue you choose, such as a hotel. We promote it heavily to the candidates you want, and you see registrations before the day. Drives usually run on a Saturday morning, around 10am to 2pm, with a dedicated project manager. They are worthwhile from about 10 to 20 hires. Read more →

How far ahead should we plan a Recruitment Drive?

Ideally three to six months before the drive. It can be combined with LinkedIn Talent Campaigns, and it can run for a confidential expansion. Read more →

What do LinkedIn Talent Campaigns involve?

We run paid LinkedIn ads and sponsored posts for your roles. You approve every ad before it goes live, campaigns run for at least 14 days, and you can pause at any time. One campaign can cover several roles, and it can reach people who are not actively looking. As a guide, the minimum ad budget is USD 7,500, plus a separate management fee. Read more →

How does Recruitment work for experienced hires?

What is Executive Search?

A retained, exclusive and confidential search for senior and leadership roles. We present three candidates per round, include a skills and psychometric assessment, check references before the final choice, and can run the search without naming your company at first. Read more →

Do you design and build exhibition booths?
