These Terms govern your access to and use of the Talentbank website at talentbank.io and the information and services made available through it (our "Services"). By using the site you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. This site is operated by Talentbank Sdn Bhd, Company No. 201801009748 (1271762-A) ("Talentbank", "we", "us", "our").
Talentbank is an employability and career-development organisation. Our work includes careers events and fairs, masterclasses and training, publications and research, recognition programmes, and online career tools and platforms. Some Services are free; others require registration, payment, or separate terms.
This website is provided for information and to let you contact us, register interest, and sign up to receive content. It does not process payments and does not provide logged-in accounts. Where a Service involves payment, membership, or a platform login, it is provided elsewhere and under its own terms.
Paid events, masterclasses, sponsorships, exhibitor participation, and platform features are subject to separate or additional terms, fees, and cancellation arrangements given to you at the point of registration or purchase. In particular, Talentbank Career Passport, and our Recruitment and Executive Search services, are provided under their own separate agreements and fees. Those separate terms apply alongside these Terms and prevail over them on the specific matter they cover.
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and over. Some of our activities are open to school leavers who may be under 18. If you are under 18, you may take part only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. We take reasonable care in activities involving young people, and may decline or withdraw access where we cannot reasonably confirm this consent.
You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting unauthorised access, disrupting or probing the site or its security, scraping or harvesting data, infringing the rights of others, uploading unlawful, misleading or harmful content, or using the site to send unsolicited communications. We may suspend or withdraw access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
When you contact us or submit a form, you agree to give accurate, current information. We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and Personal Data Protection Notice. Where you send us ideas, feedback or suggestions, you agree we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.
Participation may be subject to capacity, eligibility and venue rules. We may change, reschedule or cancel an event or programme, and will give reasonable notice where we can. For paid events, cancellation and refund terms are those stated at registration or in the relevant booking terms; unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a place is confirmed, though we will offer a transfer or credit where reasonable. You agree to follow our reasonable instructions and any venue rules, and we may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who behaves unlawfully, unsafely or disruptively, without refund. At our events we may photograph, film or record proceedings, and by attending you agree we may capture and use such images and recordings for legitimate business and promotional purposes, in line with our Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to be featured, tell our staff or contact us and we will take reasonable steps to accommodate you. Employers, exhibitors, speakers and other participants are responsible for their own conduct, content and offers.
Participation as an exhibitor, sponsor or partner is subject to separate exhibitor or sponsorship terms, covering booth allocation, payment, insurance, liability and conduct. Those terms apply in addition to these Terms.
Our Services support employability and career development, but we do not guarantee any particular outcome, including employment, interviews, hiring results, admission, or commercial results. Content we provide is general and is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your circumstances.
Where we introduce a candidate, employer, university or partner to you, or facilitate a connection through our Services, you agree not to use that introduction to bypass Talentbank in order to avoid fees properly due to us. This applies during our engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards, as set out in the relevant service agreement.
The site and our content, branding, trademarks, reports, and event and training materials are owned by or licensed to Talentbank and protected by law. Our publications, including the Employer Handbook, the Employability Index and our reports, are made available for your own internal business use only. We grant you a limited, non-transferable right to access and use our materials for their intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, share or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written consent.
Our awards, indexes and directories may name employers, universities and other organisations, based on our methodology, participation in our assessments, publicly available information and input from graduates. Our recognitions are conferred through a structured, participation-based assessment. If your organisation is named and you believe something is inaccurate, or you wish to request removal, contact legal@talentbank.io and we will review your request fairly and within a reasonable time.
The site may link to or display content from third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, content or services, and a link is not an endorsement. Your dealings with third parties are at your own risk and subject to their terms.
Names, logos and trademarks of other organisations shown on our site remain the property of their respective owners, and are used to indicate working relationships or factual information. If you own such a mark and wish it removed, contact legal@talentbank.io and we will act on reasonable requests promptly.
Each party may receive confidential information from the other, such as job specifications, salary data or business information. Each party agrees to keep the other's confidential information confidential, to use it only for the purpose for which it was shared, and not to disclose it without consent, except where required by law.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you agree that Talentbank may identify you or your organisation as a client or partner, and use your name and logo, in our marketing and client references. You may ask us to stop at any time by contacting legal@talentbank.io.
The site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that content is complete, current or accurate. This clause does not affect rights that cannot be excluded by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Talentbank is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, opportunity, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or Services. Our total liability arising from or in connection with any Service is limited to the fees you paid us for that Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law, including applicable consumer protection law.
You agree to indemnify Talentbank against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your infringement of the rights of others.
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of government, civil disruption, epidemic or pandemic, utility or network failure, fire, flood, or other natural events.
We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the site or Services at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Before starting court proceedings, the parties agree to first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through mediation. If the dispute is not resolved within a reasonable time, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, subject to any mandatory rights you may have to bring proceedings elsewhere.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is the one published on this site, and your continued use after changes means you accept them.
