1. About these Terms
These Terms are an agreement between Talentbank Sdn Bhd (“Talentbank”, the “School”, “we”), which runs the Talentbank Graduate Finishing School, and the person who enrols on a course (the “Student”, “you”).
By paying any fee, or by accepting our offer of a place on a course, workshop or service (a “Course”), you accept these Terms in full. They form the contract between you and the School for your studies with us.
These Terms can be enforced only by you and the School. We may update them from time to time, and it is your responsibility to check this page for changes.
2. General
If these Terms are inconsistent with any other document they refer to, these Terms prevail. We are not liable for delay in, or failure to perform, any of our obligations because of matters outside our reasonable control.
If any part of these Terms is or becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but would be valid if some of it were removed or changed, it applies with that removal or change. We will then, in good faith, agree a replacement that keeps the original intent. This does not affect the rest of these Terms.
3. Applying and enrolment
We interview applicants before we accept them. A place is confirmed only when we make you a written offer. Applying does not guarantee a place.
We select students openly, consistently, fairly and transparently, based on merit, and in line with the laws that apply. When we decide on admission we may take into account educational disadvantage that an applicant has experienced.
You confirm that everything you tell us when you apply is true, accurate and not misleading. If it is not, we may withdraw your offer and place, or take disciplinary action under the Student discipline rules below. We may ask you for further evidence before admission, and if you do not provide it we may withhold or end your offer.
We may attach conditions to an offer of admission, and Course units may change.
If you have a disability or other additional support needs, please tell us when you apply or at any time during admission, so that we can support you where possible.
4. Advice and support
Any advice, support or opinion given by our staff about courses or institutions is a reference to help you choose a Course. Please research the Course you want before you enrol.
To the extent the law allows, Talentbank is not liable for any compensatory, special, direct, incidental, indirect or consequential loss or damage that results from the outcome of a Course following that advice, support or opinion.
5. The job placement guarantee
Courses that carry Job Placement Guaranteed status are linked to our partner employers. At the end of the Course, accepted students receive a conditional offer of employment from a partner employer, on terms set by that employer.
Your own readiness and performance matter just as much as the guarantee. If you finish the Course with poor performance, or you do not meet the Course expectations, your entitlement to the job placement guarantee may be removed or ended, based on the decision of the employer and the School.
If you choose not to take up an employment offer, you must tell the admissions office in writing. Once we have processed that, you cannot ask for a new offer or renew the offer you declined.
If an employer no longer wishes to extend an offer for reasons beyond your control, the School will look for a replacement offer.
Where a Course requires admission to a professional body, we cannot guarantee that completing the Course will lead to that admission. That decision belongs to the professional body.
6. Your responsibility
After an enrolment decision it is your right to accept or decline the offer of a place. If you believe you were treated unfairly or improperly in your enrolment, you may lodge a complaint with the School’s administration. Please write to ask@talentbank.io.
7. Fees and payment
The full tuition fee for a Course is payable when you register.
We may decline to issue a certificate while academic fees are still owing. This mainly means tuition fees, but we may treat other unpaid academic-related fees as academic debt.
8. 30-day money-back guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on tuition fees, on these conditions.
You must ask for the refund in writing, by email to ask@talentbank.io, within 30 days of the date you paid.
We refund the tuition fee you paid, to the payment method you used.
The guarantee ends once you have received your certificate or accepted a job offer arising from the Course.
The guarantee covers tuition fees only.
9. Cancellation and withdrawal
After the 30-day period, the Course fee is payable whether or not you attend, because of our venue, catering and online-resource commitments. Withdrawal and cancellation are not permitted after that period, but we welcome a replacement student in your place.
We may change or cancel a Course because of unforeseen circumstances, and we will make every effort to tell participants. If we cancel a Course, we will refund the tuition fee you paid for it.
10. Student discipline
All students must follow the Student Discipline Regulations of the School. They are subject to Malaysian law and take precedence over any other institution’s code of practice, charter or rules.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms or our enrolment policy from time to time. The current version is the one published on this page, and if you carry on using our services after a change, you accept it.
